What is Bisque Painting?

It all starts with bisque ware — pottery pieces that have been shaped, dried, and fired once to make them strong and ready for decoration. Think mugs, plates, figurines, bowls — blank ceramic canvases, smooth and full of possibility.

Once you choose your piece, we provide everything you need to bring it to life: brushes, underglaze paints, sponges, stencils, and all the creative freedom you want. Whether you’re sketching a design or letting colors flow freely, there’s no wrong way to paint.

After you finish, we glaze your piece and fire it again in the kiln, sealing in your artwork with a smooth, glassy finish. The result is a food-safe, durable piece of pottery that’s totally one-of-a-kind — just like you.
